Uzbekistan's gymnasts claim twelve medals in Kazakhstan

“Aisulu” Rhythmic Gymnastics tournament was held in Kazakhstan as nearly 600 young athletes took part in the competition on December 8-11.

The athletes from Bukhara region achieved best results, reports Gymnastics Federation of Uzbekistan. Farangiz Rakhimova (2003), Amira Salimova (2004), Mushtariybim Zhuraeva (2004), Mila Butorina (2006) and Shakhinabonu Hikmatova (2008) earned medals with the highest standard.

In addition, Uzbekistan’s gymnasts participated in “Aigolek” Rhythmic Gymnastics tournament in Kazakhstan as 670 young athletes from 6 countries competed for medals. Shakhinabonu Hikmatova from Bukhara won her another gold medal, while her compatriot  Shakhinabonu Botirova (2007) also secured the first place. 

Mila Butorina and Mushtar Juraev were awarded silver. Representatives of the gymnastics school named after Jamila Rahmatova, Robiya Talibaeva (2010), Lisa Koneva (2011), and Sofia Sultanova (2011) also claimed gold medals at this tournament.
