Uzbek judoka Khikmatillokh Turaev awarded a bronze medal in Budapest

550 judokas from 82 nations will compete for medals in Hungary capital from 12 July 2019 to 14 July 2019.

Uzbekistan’s Khikmatillokh Turaev faced the Hague Grand Prix silver medallist Akil Gjakova from Kosova. Gjakova profied from an insipid display by Asian-Pacific Championships bronze medallist Khikmatillokh Turaev who has disqualified after receiving three penalties.

However, a bronze medal was won by Turaev who beat countryman and world number 19 Giyosjon Boboev of Uzbekistan by ippon after countering a sacrifice technique.
